I have noticed that romantic comedy is n aspect in almost every type of genre film. Even screwball comedy parodies the tradition love story. Would romantic comedy actually be more of a sub genre rather that its own? or are all genres overlapping?

I am finally getting the chance to watch all of the movies i have always wanted to see. enough with this planning on doing it shenanigan. its time! oh and i am also taking a class called genres in film that assigns me this. i guess it all worked out in the end.
